If you had to describe Red Dead Redemption 2 in one word, it would be “ground-breaking”. Rockstar really set the standard for future open-world games with this one, it’s truly a work of art. The amount of detail that so blatantly went into this game is nothing short of mind-blowing.

The immersion that an open-world video game can achieve is unmatched, although there are still other great ways to upgrade your gaming experience. Mounting your TV to the wall could be the finishing touch that your gaming setup is missing—looking to make the upgrade? Don’t hesitate to click here!

Just Cause 2

Just Cause is one of those games that you can play while you’re in any mood and have a blast. There have recently been newer installments in the series, but Just Cause 2 is the game that made fans fall in love with this hit video game series. Just Cause 2 is a classic, nostalgic, open-world roller coaster game; when you play it, some random events can feel like something ripped straight out of a Fast and Furious movie. There are mass amounts of weapons and vehicles, so things don’t get too boring too fast. We also couldn’t mention the game without mentioning the grappling hook; this is, without a doubt, what makes the game so good. The combat was something we had never seen before when this game was released in 2010, and there’s no doubt that just cause has been remembered for its brilliant gameplay compared to its decent storyline (in our opinion!) Why not give cause a go? It’s definitely one of the best free roam games to try out.

Minecraft

Many people might not even think about Minecraft when they are thinking about the best free roam games to try out, but our list wouldn’t be very accurate if we didn’t consider Minecraft as it is, after all, the best-selling game of all time. Everyone knows about Minecraft, whether you love it, or hate it! The reason people love this game so much is because it’s made for everyone. It can be enjoyed by both the younger and older generations!

With a lot of other free roam games, it’s likely that you are eventually going to run out of things to do and places to explore, but with Minecraft, this will never be the case! There is no end goal to the game, and your imagination is the limit! We can’t imagine we should have too much to say about Minecraft considering how popular it is, although if you have never played before then there’s no question of a doubt that you are missing out. When you first load up the game and spawn in with nothing, without much idea of what to do or where to go, things can sometimes seem daunting and even boring. However, if you put in the effort to learn a little, you’ll without question end up addicted to this game eventually. This one is without a doubt worth a go.

The amount of detail that so blatantly went into this game is nothing short of mind-blowing. Not only does Red Dead Redemption have a fantastically emotional storyline that’s just as long as a TV series, but there is so much to explore in such a vast landscape.

This combined with amazing graphics makes for an experience that was well worth the wait since it was announced in October of 2016. It’s worth noting that this game is only suitable for people over the age of 18 as there are some pretty violent scenes. However, if this is something that doesn’t bother you, or you maybe even like this aspect of video games then this one is one of the best free roam games to try out.
